The Hidden hand of God

Scripture Reading: Esther 5–7

Key Verse:
"For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place... And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?" – Esther 4:14 (contextual reference)

✨ Reflection:

In Esther chapters 5–7, we witness a dramatic turn of events. Esther, armed with prayer and courage, enters the king’s presence uninvited—risking her life to intercede for her people. She invites the king and Haman to a series of banquets, building tension with grace and wisdom.

Meanwhile, Haman's pride reaches a peak as he prepares to execute Mordecai. But the night before his plan can unfold, the king can't sleep. That restless night leads to the honoring of Mordecai and the beginning of Haman’s downfall.

God’s name is never mentioned in the book of Esther, yet His presence is undeniable. Behind every twist and turn, we see the hidden hand of a sovereign God orchestrating deliverance through unlikely means.

Esther didn’t rush. She prayed, fasted, and waited for God’s timing. Even when the situation seemed dire, she trusted in a plan bigger than herself. And just when everything looked hopeless, God turned it all around.

Maybe you’re in a moment where you can’t see what God is doing. Maybe your situation feels tense, uncertain, or even dangerous. Like Esther, you might feel small in the face of great opposition. But this story reminds us that God is never absent, even when He’s silent. He works behind the scenes, setting the stage for deliverance.

🙏 Prayer:

Father, thank You for always being at work, even when I cannot see it. Help me to trust Your timing and lean into Your wisdom. Like Esther, give me courage when I’m afraid and grace when I speak. Teach me to wait patiently, act faithfully, and believe that You are in control. May I not shrink back in fear, but rise up in boldness, knowing I am here for such a time as this. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
